This lovely couple were such a joy to work with! The ultimate wedding…laid back, intimate, with an emphasis on good food, good music and good vibes. The style was simple, clean and fresh. We bought all the flowers at farmers market and popped them in clear glass bottles and brass vessels on our Big Sur redwood tables. The bride made the little shell name placers. The menu was truly farmers’ market inspired, with all the produce hand picked by Jamie. The day started out with Katie of Bar Cart making delicious cocktails to greet guests, with artisanal cheese boards and organic fresh farmers’ market berry abundance. After the ceremony, down onthe grass, the ceremony space converted to cocktail hour, with fun music and yummy apps. Ee passed out grilled pizzas and mini sopes with chili prawn and guacamole. Dinner was served up on the house deck,
LOCAL FARMER FEAST (BUFFET)
Rustic breads and chive butter (on tables)
Locals younger greens & flowers with strawberries and sherry chive vinaigrette
Heirloom tomatoes, burrata cheese, basil
Gruyere mac n cheese
Organic grass fed Filet tenderloin with red wine pink peppercorn reduction sauce
and
Whole roasted Mary’s organic chickens stuffed with local leeks, herbs and garlic – served with wild mushroom gravy
After dinner, Jamie baked organic chocolate chip cookies and passed them out to all the guests conitinuously baking new batches, so everyone got to eat hot gooey cookies! We set up a pretty coffee and tea buffet and then the couple cut the cake, also made by Jamie.
After dinner, up on the outdoor dance floor, Music was bumping against the Big Sur mountains, by one of our fav local dj’s, Hanif Paneer. The photos were by Peer Johnson, an absolute pleasure to work with. The house is our own venue, Endless Ocean Estate in Big Sur.
